The Yoruba goddess of women's crafts, particularly pottery, dyeing, and the work of the marketplace. Iya Mapo is invoked by women who practice trades and is honoured at the rocky hills near Igbeti in Oyo State, where she is said to reside. Her cult is one of the most explicitly women-centred in the Yoruba pantheon, and her shrines remain active in craft-producing communities.
