The Yoruba Orisha of herbs, healing, and the forest's medicinal knowledge. Osanyin is depicted with a single eye, ear, leg, and arm, the disfigurement said to have come from a wager he lost to Sango. He is the patron of babalawo who use leaves in their work, and no Yoruba ritual involving plants can proceed without first invoking him.
