Orunmila

Yoruba (Nigeria, Benin); diaspora to Cuba (Orula) and Brazil · West Africa
The Yoruba Orisha of wisdom, knowledge, and divination, and the patron of the Ifa oracle. Orunmila is said to have been present at the creation and to know the destiny of every being. He is consulted through the babalawo, who interpret the patterns of palm nuts or the divining chain to reveal Orunmila's counsel on questions of fate, healing, and conduct.
