Mbaba Mwana Waresa

The Zulu goddess of rainbows, harvests, rain, beer, and fertility, often described as the most beloved among the heavenly beings. She is credited with teaching humanity how to brew beer from grain and is honoured in the annual Inkosazana festival, where young women perform rites at the season's first rains. She is one of the few prominent female deities in the Zulu cosmology.
