The Bultungin (Were-hyena)
When a strange voice calls you out of your home at night in old Bornu, the Kanuri warn that it may not be human at all. The bultungin is their were-hyena, a person who turns into a cannibal beast, reeking of rotting flesh, to lure victims into the dark.
