Chioma is a Health Science student who enjoys reading during her spare time. Inspired by authors such as Chimamanda Ngozi, Chinua Achebe and Chiemeka Garricks, she has written and published on SprinNG and was the winner of the KANAC International Creative Writing Competition 2021.

The Tribe That Worships Twins

While some peoples once feared twins as ill omens, the Yoruba came to revere them as Ibeji, sacred children who share a single soul. They are protected by Shango, and when one twin dies a small wooden figure is carved to hold its spirit.
